Dear Mr Blair,
In the world today, 1 person in every 150 is HIV positive. HIV is a global crisis that demands a global response.
Britain has a responsibility to take a leading role in tackling this crisis. This Government needs to do much more to ensure access to treatments, resource education campaigns and, through debt relief, trade reform and development aid, tackle the causes of poverty that have allowed the virus to spread unchecked. I hope that you will add your support. This crisis requires action today.

4. Make a small monthly or single donation
You can make a small regular donation and if you pay tax we can even get that back from the Treasury. We have a
special secure connection for this, or you can make a credit or debit card donation on-line, or print out a form and give by post.

There are other ways you can help - by a company donation, by making a will, or by helping with Operation Fundraiser.

5. Wear a red ribbon - make a small donation to us for a red ribbon to wear, or buy a beaded ribbon from the pin project for £2 - this will support HIV orphans in South Africa [ click here to go to www.pinproject.org.uk ]

6. Speak out when you disagree with what people around you say about HIV - you don't need a witty one-liner or to be pompous, or even to know all the facts - you can just say "I don't agree with what you said."

7. Write to the editor if you disagree with something in the papers. It can be as simple as saying people with HIV are not "victims", or deserve the same care and respect as anyone else.
